advanced technology—again a kind of protein known as anti-
bodies.
These antibodies made up of proteins with a spherical
structure and play a crucial role in the body's defense. Known
as immune globulin, these globular proteins found on the sur-
face of the cell are generally referred to by the letters Ig for
short.
Antibodies, manufactured by B cells produced in the bone
marrow, are wide-ranging weapons specially prepared for use
