Rivers Flowing In Arab Lands
The Last Day will not come until rivers and streams
flow through Arab lands.
(Ash-Sharani, Mukhtasar Tazkirah al-Qurtubi, p. 471)
This hadith refers to desert agriculture using large quantities of
water on the present-day Arabian peninsula, and particularly in
countries such as Israel and Saudi Arabia.
These pictures show the greening of the deserts in the United Arab
Emirates and the resulting crops.
