What is with you must vanish: what is with Allah will endure. And We will certainly
bestow, on those who patiently persevere, their reward according to the best of their
actions.
(Al-Nahl, 96)

Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because
of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace.
(Al-Furqan, 75)

Then will he be of those who believe, and enjoin patience, (constancy, and self-
restraint), and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion.
(Al-Balad, 17)

The believers ask for perseverance:
When they advanced to meet Goliath and his forces, they prayed: “Our Lord! Pour
out constancy on us and make our steps firm: Help us against those that reject faith.”
(Al-Baqara, 250)
