he got home in the evening, he decided to read the
Qur'an, which Allah sent down to all people. The first
verse he read was the following:
In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and
the alternation of night and day, there are Sign ns
for people with intelligence: those who remember
Allah, standing, sitting and lying on their sides s, and
reflect on the creation of the heavens and the
earth (by saying): 'Our Lord, You have not crea ated
this for nothing. Glory be to You! So safeguard us
from the punishment of the Fire.' (Surah Al I Imran:
190-191)
