our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of
his evil heart." (Jeremiah 18, 11-12)

Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets
preached, saying, "Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Turn now
from your evil ways and your evil deeds.'" But they did not
hear nor heed Me," says the Lord. (Zechariah 1, 4)

IT IS FORBIDDEN TO HARM OTHERS
Many Torah commandments prohibit doing harm to

others, killing, ruling without justice, or behaving unfairly.
You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You
shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your
neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor's house…
                     (Exodus 20, 13-17)

You shall do no injustice in judgment … nor honor the
person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your
neighbor. You shall not go about as a talebearer among
your people; nor shall you take a stand against the life of
your neighbor: I am the Lord... You shall not take
vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of

your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I
am the Lord. (Leviticus 19, 15-18)
Lest innocent blood be shed in the midst of your land which

the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and thus
guilt of bloodshed be upon you. (Deuteronomy 19, 10)
Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back
