122. The Emergence of False Messiahs

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will
come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive

many." (Matthew 24:4-5)
At that time, if anyone says to you: "Look, here is the Christ!" or,
"There he is!" do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets
will appear… (Matthew 24:23-24)

… and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
(Matthew 24:11)
He [Jesus] replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many
will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do
not follow them. (Luke 21:8)
