was a community in himself…" (Surat an-Nahl, 120). The
Prophet Lot (pbuh), together with a very few believers, dis-
played his very superior submission to Allah and called on his
largely homosexual tribe to abandon their immoral lifestyles

and to believe (Surat adh-Dhariyat, 36). Those very few believ-
ing people, however, were much stronger than all of their peo-
ple, for they had Allah's help and support.
The important thing is to understand that Allah controls
everything that exists, all of which has submitted to Him, and
to live accordingly. The Prophet Abraham (pbuh) and the
Prophet Lot (pbuh) understood this truth and became His

friends. Like them, all believers must seek to achieve the same
level of deep faith and spirituality and make a serious effort to
become His friend.
