hen people inquire about
their religion, most people
W W say that they are Muslims.
However, many of them have not read the Qur'an,
the just Book of Islam, even once. However, the
Qur'an is the revelation of Allah through which He in-
troduces Himself and explains the real purpose of our
life of this world and the next, as well as the attributes of
moral perfection. Leading a life unaware of Allah's expec-
tations and being satisfied with fabricated religions is not
befitting to a person's conscience and wisdom.
The purpose of this book is to explain that the Qur'an is the
Word of Allah, a guide for humanity that addresses everyone,
and that its commands are applicable to all times. Thus it must be
the most important reference. An accurate perception of Islam and
the correct understanding of its verses are essential for those who
seek to be guided by it. In this respect, it is one of the most important
duties of every Muslim who has wisdom, a conscience, and common
sense to convey its message to all people.

The author, who writes under the pen-name
Harun Yahya, was born in Ankara in 1956. He
studied arts at Istanbul's Mimar Sinan University,
and philosophy at Istanbul University. Since the
1980s, the author has published many books on
political, faith-related and scientific issues. His
main focus has been the refutation of Darwinism
and materialism, two modern myths presented
under a scientific guise. Harun Yahya's books appeal to all kinds of
readers, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, regardless of their age, race,
or nationality, for they focus on one objective: to broaden the readers’
perspective by encouraging them to think about a number of critical is-
sues, such as the existence of God and His unity, and to display the de-
crepit foundations and perverted works of godless systems.
