                                                   Then I heard a voice from the heavens saying to me, write this: Happy are those who
                                                   died in the service of the Lord! ‘Yes indeed!’ answers the spirit …. ‘They will enjoy rest
                                                   from their hard work because the result of their service go with them.’ (Rev. 14:13-14)

                                                   Madam Agnes Osei-Bediako was born at Kwahu Mpraeso to Mr. Michael Anthony Osei-Bediako
                                                   (aka Kofi UTC) of the Asona family Mpraeso and Mrs. Elizabeth Osei-Bediako (aka Akua Afi)
                                                   of the Asenea Family of Kwahu Mpraeso on 27th July 1929 as the second daughter.

                                                   She attended Adeiso Presbyterian Primary for her elementary education and moved to Agogo
                                                   to complete her middle school education at Agogo Girls’ school. Aunty Aggie later attended
                                                   Agogo Training College for her Teachers training which she completed in December 1948.


                                                   She started her teaching career in 1949 at Abetifi Girls’ School and later moved to Adeiso
                                                   Primary (Presbyterian Church) school to be closer to her mother and siblings after the death
                                                   of her beloved father.


                                                   She also taught in Aburi Girls’ Middle School; Begoro Girls School; Asiakwa Primary; Korle-
                                                   Gonno Primary School and finally moved to Tema where she taught at Tema Community 2
                                                   primary school.


                                                   Aunty Aggie (aka teacher) settled in Tema for the rest of her life. She initially married Mr.
                                                   A. Agyekum where she had two children; the late Felix Duncan Odame Agyekum and the late
                                                   Kwabena Agyekum.  She later met the Late Mr. Samuel W Abaidoo and had one child who
                                                   unfortunately also passed early to be with our Maker as a 6 weeks old baby.

                                                   With no biological children of her own, she spent a sizable chunk of her life supporting,
                                                   looking after and being a mother to all her many nieces and nephews who to date never see
                                                   her as an aunty but a mother.

                                                   Known as a strong and healthy woman, aunty Aggie passed peacefully after a short illness in
                                                   her home at Tema on the morning of Sunday 20th December 2020.

                                                                                                  May she rest in perfect peace.
