In the interview “Ricardo Cinalli in conversation with Brian Sewell”, he discusses
his masterpiece The Resurrection, a fresco at the Duomo of Terni that can be
compared to the frescoes created by 15th and 16th Century Italian masters. Sewell,
an outstanding art critic and historian who contributes to several periodicals
including The Evening Standard, hails Cinalli as one of the most outstanding
artists of the 20th Century; in 1987, along with other members of the British art
world, Sewell had anticipated this praise by proposing Cinalli for the well-known
Turner Prize at the Tate Gallery, on the basis of his solo exhibition at the
Accademia Italiana delle Arti in London.
