Supra – Model Overview
        Battery charger

        • The car has different modes that it can adopt:

              - PAD mode

              - Park mode

              - Residing mode

              - Drive mode

        • The “Ready” light means the vehicle is in Drive mode and can be driven normally

        • You will learn more in a workshop session

        • PAD mode is the mode you will need to establish for diagnosis. ISTA can also initiate PAD mode

independently if it needs to during one of its test functions or procedures. When the car is in this

mode the ECU is NOT ABLE to monitor Battery voltage, therefore the car will continue to draw

current until the battery goes flat. If this happens midway through a procedure or function, ECU

           damage can occur

        • You must always have the correct battery charger connected to the car at all times
