Splinting Casting: Fiberglass Tapes
Delta-Lite® Plus. Fiberglass cast tape combines a fiberglass substrate
and advanced water-activated, polyurethane resin system. The new resin formulation provides tack-free properties that allow ease of application and molding using standard exam gloves. The rigid finished cast creates a long- lasting, lightweight cast. Good conformability makes casting application easier with change of anatomy. Outstanding molding produces an ana- tomically correct cast. Excellent lamination creates a strong bond between layers, ensuring a strong finished cast. Weight bearing in approximately 20 minutes. Set time is 3–5 minutes. Mixed colors contains 2 dark blue rolls, 2 light blue rolls, 2 purple rolls, 2 red rolls and 2 pink rolls. 10 rolls per box.

Delta-Lite® Conformable Casting Tape. Used in primary and secondary casting applications for rigid external mobilization, Delta-Lite is dip-water activated and applied like plaster. Made of a patented fiberglass sub-
strate with extensible yarns for enhanced moldability and conformability. Impregnated with a polyurethane resin that provides tack-free working properties, superior lamination and excellent end lay-down. Sets in approxi- mately 7 minutes and bears weight in approximately 20 minutes. Ten, 4-yd. (3.7m) rolls per box.
