Casting: Fiberglass Tape & Ortho-Glass Splinting
3M® ScotchcastTM Plus Casting Tape. Fiberglass with excellent lamination and conformability characteristics. Rolls on easily with maximum control and less “curl-back.” Six-way stretch means com- plete moldability. Finish is less abrasive than other casting materials and doesn’t feel tacky, greasy or slick. Gloves must be worn during application. 2-year shelf life. 4-yd. rolls (3.7m), 10 rolls per pack.
Remains semi- flexible!
3M® ScotchcastTM Soft Cast. This fiberglass material remains semi-rigid and flexible for resilient support. The amount of support is determined by the number of layers applied. Can be removed using bandage scissors or by unwrapping. Due to its flexibility, Scotchcast Soft Cast can be univalved and overwrapped for re-application to the same patient. Can be used with rigid casting materials on multi-roll casts as the “foundation” layer, thus creating comfortable edges. Ten, 4-yd. (3.7m) rolls per box.
