Asbury’s beaches are booming
W


hile Atlantic City casinos struggle, Asbury Park 

beaches are surging. According to the city, Asbury 
Park hosted twice as many visitors this year as in 

2013 with revenues for the period between May 1 
and June 15 showing an increase from $63,108 last 

year to $124,058 in 2014.
Seasonal beach memberships were also up $38,000 from last year. 

In the previous 10 summers, beach revenue has increased from 
$100,000 to more than $1 million.
