No one knows for sure what the future holds. To further complicate the situation, the world has been changing at an exponential rate, which means that what we are familiar with today may become obsolete a few years down the road. But what will this mean for our children? How can we prepare them for a world that we ourselves are unsure of? Nineteen years have passed since we stepped into the 21st century; yet much of our education remains rooted in the 20th century, where conformity and compliance are emphasised. This formula might have worked well for Baby Boomers right up to the Generation X-ers, but those who come of age in the 21st century have a whole di erent set of challenges to overcome and goals to achieve. 21ST CENTURY OR BUST: REDEFINING TODAY’S EDUCATION
