Cassidy Hinds Finds Success On & Off The Track
Cassidy Hinds started racing quarter midgets later than most kids. She was 10 years old when she got her first car as a Christmas present in 2014. She started racing in Janu- ary 2015. She originally wanted to race Jr. Dragsters, but after her dad took her to a quarter midget track in Pueblo, CO, she decided she wanted
to race quarter midgets.
She loved how fast they
went and that there were
several cars on the track
at the same time. It took
Cassidy a little more than
a year to catch up to the
drivers in her age group,
because many of them
had begun racing at the
age of 5.
“Racing quar- ter midgets in Colorado is the best place I could have started, as CO has some of the best quar- ter midget drivers in the nation. I quickly gained confidence and started
finishing in the top 3 of races if not finishing in 1st place. Not only has my confidence grown over the years but so have my accomplishments. Racing has also made me realize I want to contin- ue my racing career for as long and as far as I’m able to go. My goal is to make it to any NASCAR series.”
Cassidy has several memorable moments, like the first time she won a Sr. Honda race and a World Formula race. Another one is the first time she won a Sr. Animal race after transferring from the B Main to win the A Main. In 2018 she set six track records, four in Colorado at different tracks, and 2 in Livermore, CA during the Western Grands. She reached the podium in two of her cars at the Winter Nationals in Last Vegas and finished 4th in only her third year. And finally, when she won a National Championship at the 2018 Western Grands in Livermore, CA. “Yeah, that was awesome because I was the only girl in that class but all the other drivers kept

spinning out and eventually got disqualified for having three DOT’s (dead on tracks). I like to think I would’ve won that race anyway but when the other drivers kept spinning out and getting disqualified it took some of the fun out of it. I guess I would say I have several most memorable moments.”
In 2018 she was se- lected to be a part of the Race Face Brand Devel- opment program as the only female Race Face Next Driver.
The friends Cassidy has made over the years have a special place in her heart and are a part of her most memorable mo- ments as well. They have helped her grow and be- come the driver and per- son she is today.
Her marketing part- ners are: Frontier Resto- ration, Purple Lightning Racing, Steve and Sons Auto Glass, Impacted Wraps and Graphics, Custom T-shirts and Hats, Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, Race Face Brand Development, and some marketing partners that wish to remain silent.
Cassidy’s parents en- couraged her to do what she wanted to do, but her dad used to race quar- ter midgets when he was younger and that is what
helped her to get started. Her dad, Joey and Rueben work on her quarter midgets and her dad works on her 600 Micro Sprint that she will be racing this year.
Cassidy has many top finishes that she is proud of, but finishing 1st in Modified World Formula at the Western Grands in 2018 to become the National Champion has to be at the top of the list. So far this year (2019) she finished 1st in Hvy World Formula in Tucson, AZ in March. She passed the leader with 5 laps to go and won the main, and also when she took 1st place in Hvy Animal at the Region 8 Winter Indoors in February.
