Emily’s family are homeschooled by her mother so they can work in between the flare-ups of the Ulcerative Colitis. Em- ily’s fans are also a great source of encouragement. She has them sit in and then sign her car before and after each race.
She feels this encourages the kids to want to race and makes her feel more like they are her friends as well as her fans.
Emily has won two feature wins with two podium finishes as well as five ad- ditional top five finishes. Because of Emi- ly’s spon- sors like Levrack, Don Franklin Family of Dealerships, Bobs towing, WildCat RV Sales, Wild- Flower Boutique, American Mobile Glass, Tri-County Cater- ing and Billy Brewer you will find her racing in conjunction with the South East Super trucks series at Newport Speedway (Tennessee), Kingsport Speedway (Tennessee), Tri County Motor Speedway (North Carolina), Anderson Motor Speed- way (South Carolina), and Franklin Lonesome Pine Speedway
in Virginia.
Emily’s Mini Cup is a NASCAR Sprint Cup car, but it’s
just half the size and has a 390 GX Honda engine which has 13 horsepower. William, Emily’s step father, is her crew chief and they both work on the car to get the car ready for her Saturday races. Emily has come back from life’s tragedies and we expect great things for her in her future. Emily’s next step in racing is to advance into the Late Models during the 2019 racing season. If you would like to help along Emily’s journey you can follow her on Facebook, twitter, Instagram and on her website www.emilycookracing.com, @emilycookracing, https://www.facebook.com/emilycookracing/?ref=br_rs.
