Kercie raced in the Mini Dwarf division with two trucks and a victory circle chassis. She then started racing a Bande- lero in the Bandit Division and she is currently in the Out- law Division, 2019 as well as making her Junior Late Models debut. If Kercie’s sister is racing the Bandelero she would like to race against her for fun. The tracks she has raced at are Bakersfield Speedway, Rocky Hill Speedway, Santa Maria Speedway, Kern County Raceway Park and Willow Springs, The Orange Show Speedway, and Irwindale Speedway.
Kercie is midway through eighth grade right now. But, when asked about college she quickly said “I want to be a NASCAR Cup driver and she is thinking about going to college for mechanical engineering when she’s not racing. Kercie has a knack for working on race cars and sets up and maintains her little sister Allies race car before every race. During the racing season Kercie also watches the NASCAR races with her family. Her favorite Xfinity driver is Ryan Reed. Her love for Ryan was solidified when “My dad was putting in cabinets for Ryan Reeds dad and he gave me a hat and a die cast car.” She went on to say in the NASCAR Cup series she also like’s Kevin Harvick because he is from Bakersfield,
her hometown, “and he is a really good driver too.”
Kercie’s mother Heather describes her personality as an easy going, go with the flow person who gets great grades. In the off season she also helps out at Saint John’s Middle school during this time it turns into a Vacation Bible School. The school is a weeklong and starts on Monday and ends on the following Friday and it teaches the kids about the bible and God. She said she loves doing it because “I like seeing all the smiles on their faces and when they ask a lot of questions.” Kercie also loves playing Volleyball and is looking forward to going to high school so
she could be on their team.
