Australian Racer Jess Hall Share Her Racing Story
Jess Hall is an amazing young woman racer. She lives in West- ern Australia, and actually was inspired to start racing by her mother. Jess did such a great job answering our questions, we are going to print her responses here for you to read, and get to know her better.
IWMA: Tell us some things
about yourself: I grew up
in a country town 5 hours
North of Perth City. During
this time I was into my West-
ern Riding and Show horses
up until I was about 15, then
I discovered Speedway. I love
Taco Tuesday at home with
my boyfriend and family. I’ve
been so lucky to see almost
all of Australia as my Dad is a
truck driver and we have trav-
eled a lot for my racing My
favorite holiday destination
is Legian, Bali if I was need-
ing a week get away or down
south to our winery region in
Margaret River WA. I wish I
could say my favorite destina-
tion is the USA, but that’s on my bucket list. My parents have been to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Late Models a few times now and I am beyond jealous! The best piece of advice I’ve been given is that “ Do what makes you happy, at the end of the day you only get one life “ “ Be kind, because you never know what someone else is going through” and “you don’t get a second chance at a first impression”, I basically live by these.
IWMA: Did you play with dolls or cars as a kid?
I had Barbie Dolls and girly things for a while, till my brother was born, then I found a love for his Tonka Trucks and Toy Wheels. Who could ever forget those cool rugs with roads on them? Or

was that just an Aussie thing? We would race for hours!
IWMA: What is your favorite tv show?
I loved this series on Netflix called ‘Fastest Car’ where they raced the most prestigious super cars against sleeper cars! I also love the show ‘Botched’, so interesting.
IWMA: What is your favorite holi- day? I would be lying if I didn’t say, I love going away racing with the family. Whether its over a weekend or a week. That’s a holiday to me. I also love my girl trips to Melbourne or to Bali. IWMA: What is something most people don’t know about you?
That I am a Skin Clinician / Beauty Therapist. I have this overly girly side to my loud, obnoxious, fun, crazy person-
ality. Oh and I LOVE my red wine.
IWMA: If you work a job, what do you do? What do your co-workers think of you racing?
I work in an amazing little clinic in Mosman Park, Perth. I perform advanced medi spa treatments like peels, microdermabrasion, and soon, skin needling. I help people with their skin concerns and make people feel confident and happy within themselves, along with their nails, tanning, and all that beauty “stuff”. The reason I started here was I want- ed a place where I was accepted and could race on the weekends more often. As my career is de- manding on the weekends, my boss believes in work / life bal- ance. She even has her business logo on my car! The girls love it and always ask questions. My cli- ents have a giggle and think I’m super bi-polar!! LOL!!!
IWMA: What is your long- term career plan?
At this stage I am still learning in my advanced treatments, it’s all
quite new to me! I have a great support team around me, so I believe I will go so far! I am someone who doesn’t like change, so I really hope where I am now is a long-term plan. My boyfriend wants to open his own mechanical shop, so maybe I could also help within his busi- ness too!
IWMA: What do you do for fun when you are not racing?
I love to go on Wine Tours, shopping and have a few drinks with my best friend of almost 6 years Mikayla. When I’m not racing I’m generally at a track somewhere in the State supporting my boyfriend who was my divisions State Title holder not long ago..
IWMA: If they made a movie of your life, who would play you?
