How Does Flooding Happen in Urban Area?

Flooding is a condition when a lot of water is trapped in a

normally dry area. This is a phenomenon that is detrimental to

many people because it can cause material and health losses.

There are 2 main causes of flooding. The first is due to natural

phenomena such as heavy rainfall, overflowing water from

rivers, seas, or lakes. While the second cause is due to human

activities such as logging, poor drainage systems, and

blockage of ditches due to garbage. Flooding is caused by the

effects of human activities that often occur in urban areas. The

following description will describe the process of flooding in

urban areas due to extreme rain.

Climate change increases the water vapor level in the atmosphere. This can
lead to more intense rainstorms in some areas and cause flooding!
