Fruits of the Spirit - Peace
The sermon on that first Sunday was part of a series on the fruits of the Spirit - and that day it was “peace”.
Seeking a suitable bible verse about the topic, I happened upon Jesus talking to his disciples in John chapter 14 - where he is careful to let them know that, amongst all the strife and trouble of life, he leaves them his peace.
The poem tells of someone who is struggling with being a Christian - trying hard to live as they think God wants them to live. Then they realise that Jesus knows how they feel, and he is the source of the peace that they are wanting and needing in their walk with God.
