  Added value
1. We are a resilient team – our senior team has decades of experience, much of it together at Stantec.
2. Our team have overlapping skill sets, which means that we can cover for each other, and innovate across disciplines.
3. We have local knowledge – we’ve worked on HS2 Toton, Chetwynd Barracks, and even have senior team members born and bred in the area!
4. Our strategic land team is embedded within our planning team, allowing for real-time development of a viable, deliverable strategy, with inputs along the way rather than simply at the end
5. We are familiar with the HS2 proposals, having worked on them in a number of guises – directly, with members of our team having completed infrastructure planning secondments into HS2, and alongside, through the DIF Study work we did for the East Midlands HS2 interchange.
6. Our work at Chetwynd resulted in a successful Local Plan allocation – we understand the promotion of sites, both generally, and specifically in this area.
7. Our DIF study included consideration of the Stanton Ironworks regeneration site – we understand the challenges and opportunities of one of the key competing sites.
8. Our team is leading on innovation in the delivery of similar schemes:
a. Sharpness – 5,000 homes new settlement with fixed rail extension and integration with existing settlements to achieve
“better than compliance” sustainability
b. Alconbury Weald and Marston Valley – flexible consents granted, or being negotiated
c. Ebbsfleet – planning consultant for the delivery of the new masterplan around Ebbsfleet Central, and delivering innovative infrastructure investment strategies leveraging public funding
d. Biggleswade – secured planning permission for 1,500 home major urban extension, including securing public funding and developing innovative sustainable transport strategy
9. We will use an online community consultation platform to build stronger relationships with the local community – especially in establishing contact with “hard to reach” groups. This will also allow us to monitor and feedback on consultation and public opinion and responses in a strategic way, and go beyond simply having a passive presence on the Internet, such as a project website.
