                                          Mary Ball Washington



                                       Ferry Farm Honey Maple Syrup

                        This recipe is attributed to Mary Ball Washington. She is said to have made this sauce frequently
                                       to serve over buckwheat pancakes and root vegetables.


                                                   3/4 cup maple syrup

                                                      1/2 cup honey

                                              2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

                                               1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds



                               In a small saucepan, mix together honey and maple syrup.

                                            Add cinnamon and caraway seeds.

                                     Over medium heat, slowly bring to a hard boil.

                                                         Serve hot.

                                                     Makes 1‐1/2 cups
