OPERATIONAL DEFINITION

Percentage of absolute attrition equals to the number of full-time undergraduate students who
drop-out from the programme divided by the original number of students in their cohort when they
first joined the programme. Attrition is defined as departure prior to completion of a degree or
other credentials as at year of evaluation.

Note: Drop-out refers to students who request to leave or who are terminated.

Calculation formula = (Number of students who dropped out by the prescribed graduation year) /
58 (Number of students enrolled in the intake year) x 100
