“Hey, Blue Shadow, it’s me, Red Shadow across on the other wall. What’s up with all the noise
downstairs? All I hear is thump, thump, thump.”

“I think that darn girl is exercising again. She hops around to that Zumba workout. Personally, I don’t
get it. Shoot, I might wind up on the floor if that racket keeps up.”

“I know what you mean, Blue. Bump, bump, that’s all I hear. I can’t take it. My shadow could
disintegrate at any time and I don’t want to disappear annoyed.”

“Let’s change the subject. There’s got to be something else to talk about other than the Zumba girl.
        Geeze, aren’t we losers.”

“Hey, speak for yourself, Blue, my shadow has been here longer than yours. I know everything that
goes on in this girl’s room. Did you know when she’s not here, her mom comes in and riffles through her
dresser drawers. What’s she looking for? I can’t even guess, but I’m here watching and it drives me crazy that
        she leaves with nothing.”

“Oh, boy, aren’t you the brainy one. What do you think she’s looking for, Red. She’s looking for things a
young girl shouldn’t have in her room.”

               “Like what?”

“How should I know, I’m not a young girl."

“Ha, ha, Blue. Very funny. Two idiots hovering on the wall doing and talking about nothing. Hey, there
was a show I heard the mother talking about that was on in the 1990s that was very funny and they called it
the show about nothing. I wish I could remember the name.”

“What, difference does it make. It’s not like we watch television. You know what, we’re two shadows
hanging out doing nothing, talking about nothing, like you said, bored out of our wits, so what should we do?”

“I tell you what we should do, Blue, pray that someone comes in and closes the blinds so our shadows
        disappear.”

“Yeah, yeah, always the wise guy. I’m not talking to you anymore.”

“Good, Blue. I could use the peace and quiet.”

“Well, neither one of us is going to get any peace and quiet until Zumba girl finishes in another half
        hour.”

“I guess we are both losers, like you said.”

“No, Red, we’re just shadows, dummy.”
