“In fifteen-minutes.”

“Good, would you like to take a walk with me?”

         “Absolutely,” she answered.

Their walk landed them in Denise’s apartment. The apartment was small and messy.
Magazines sprawled all over the couch, dirty dishes sat in the sink, the faucet dripping, and the
bedroom had clothes all over the floor and chairs.

“Sorry for the mess. I don’t have much time to clean.” She picked up the clothes and
tossed them on the floor in the closet.

“That’s fine, all I need is a clean bed,” he said, and pulled her close, kissing her hard on
the lips.

He began to unbutton her blouse and kicked off his shoes. He kissed her neck and
shoulders breathing in the sweet taste of her rose scented perfume. She moaned and tilted her
head back, throwing her legs around his waist. He tossed her on the bed and pulled his pants
down. He entered her body and she moaned with pleasure. He hadn’t had intercourse with a
beautiful woman in some time and he came sooner than he wanted to.

         “Oh, I’m sorry,” he said.

         “Don’t be. That was great!”

They laid back and Stephen put his arm around her waist. “Tell me about you,” he said
and caressed her hair.

“There’s not much to tell. I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts. My mother was a
teacher and my father a principal. If you’re thinking what I think you’re thinking, yes, they
worked at the same high school and fell in love. I’ve been going to nursing school and working
part-time at the diner to help pay for my nursing studies.”

“I’m impressed. What’s your last name? Do you have any brothers or sisters?”

“Spinello and I’m an only child. But enough about me, what about you? Who is
Stephen? What is your last name?”

“My last name is Gianno. My parents died when I was very young, and my grandparents
raised me. They both recently died. I haven’t even prepared the funeral arrangements.”

“I’m so very sorry. Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

“We only just met, so I didn’t feel it was appropriate.”

“I see your point. But now that I know, if there’s anything I can do, I am here for you.”
