loading up their cars with all their personal items until next year.

                       And just like that, it was over.

                       The old man smiled even while wiping away a stray tear over long-lost memories it dug
               up. He still wouldn’t have missed this day for anything. He never did. After a few more minutes
               he stood and folded up his lawn chair. Before walking back to the house, he opened a wooden
               box of gardening tools he’d built many years ago for his wife and picked up a pair of shears.
               Looking around, he chose a large red bloom, a large pink bloom, and a smaller white bloom.

                       He was thinking about what he should do this summer now that school was out. There
               was so much he wanted to do.
