P. 3
Good afternoon and welcome to the players,
officials and supporters of Millbrook AFC for our
first Premier League encounter of the season
and, I believe, their first visit to Crown Fields.
Millbrook are going well and will be yet another
tough test for the Ks today. Welcome too, to
our match officials this afternoon, referee John
Reed and assistants Andy Dixon & Mark Oswin.
Tuesday night saw us return to winning ways
in the 3-0 defeat of Wells City in the Les Phillips
Cup Preliminary Round. I thought it was a well-
disciplined performance against a very good
Division One side. We controlled the game for
long periods of time without ever looking in a great deal of trouble, and by running
in three second half goals it sets us up nicely for the next round, away at local rivals
Hengrove Athletic. From memory we've not won there for a while, so what better
stage could there be to put that one to bed and set us on course for another serious
cup challenge this year? This tie is to be played on Tuesday 1st March (7.30pm),
so why not get that date in your diary to get over there to cheer the lads on? it
could make all the difference!
We are on the road again next weekend with our longest trek of an already well-
travelled season to Mousehole in deepest Cornwall. We have enjoyed our trips to
Cornwall this season - good times, good memories and perhaps above all, good
results. There is no reason why that should not continue next Saturday.
As always, I thank you all for coming today and for your unwavering support. It is
much appreciated and I hope you enjoy the game.
