Good evening and a very warm welcome to the players,
coaching team and supporters of our visitors Radstock
Town for this Toolstation Western League Division One
game.
Our committee would also like to welcome tonight’s
match officials, referee Mike Halford and his 2 assistants,
Martin Chown & Christos Kanatsoulis.
It has been over six weeks since our last First Team
League home game here at Crown Fields! I would also
like to offer my personal thanks to everyone at the club,
from our Chairman to the coaches, players and not least you, our supporters, for
your patience over the past few weeks as we sorted out the “bolt out of the blue”
issue regarding certification of our 3G pitch by FIFA.
On the field, Tuesday saw one of the special cup nights here as we entertained
National League side Yeovil Town in the Somerset Premier Cup. It was a great night
with a cracking atmosphere, boosted by a very healthy away following! Our lads
showed huge character to come from behind 3 times to take the game to penalty
kicks after a 3-3 draw, with Joe Davis, Jamal Salawu and Jaheim Allen on the
scoresheet. In a nerve-wracking shootout, the visitors finally won it 8-7, but our
lads should hold their heads high after such an impressive display.
That night was the first time we have used our new online ticketing process in
addition to payment on the night. This worked smoothly and will remain in place
for all future Ks home games. Details of how to purchase tickets can be found later
in this programme.
So now that everything is back to normal, after tonight we have another 3 games
on the road before AEK Boco visit us for another local derby on Tuesday 31 st
October in the Toolstation Western League Division One (kick-off 7:45pm).
Don’t forget to keep up with all the Ks news via our social media channels!
As always, I thank you in anticipation of your support for our young team in the
weeks ahead!
Up the Ks!!
