Heather Martin. Sapphire Boswell, Katie Haron and Millie Meadows were all on the
scoresheet as Malvern Town climbed up into third place after beating Inkberrow
Eagles 3-1 and Welland Ladies were 3-0 winners away to Meadow Park. Olivia Hand
opened the scoring for Welland in the first half, before Erica Holford sealed their second
league victory of the season with a brace after the break.
Sheffield & Hallamshire League (by Julian Barker)
Top against bottom in Division Two went very much according to the league placings as
Handsworth Development ran out 8-0 winners over Sheffield City. Maheen Ahmed
was top individual scorer with four, with the other goals coming from Emily Clayton (2),
Emma Rowland and Beth Tonner. Sarah Vickers bagged a hat-trick with Steph Marshland
also on the mark for Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in their 4-2 win over Mexborough
Athletic, for whom Yasmin Bird and Laura Ferguson scored.
There was just one game played in Division Three. Courtney Clarke, Ebony Deans,
Roxanne Reid and Harper Shillam were the scorers for AFC Norton Woodseats in their
4-1 victory over Wickersley Youth whose first away goal of the season was netted by Eve
Allen. Norton’s win stretched their unbeaten start to seven games and they climbed into
second place, two points behind Staveley Miners Welfare who boast a 100% record,
       also from seven games.
Chesterfield Women were the highest scorers in the League Cup with Chloe Foster
on target five times along with Paige Singleton (2), Emily Clark, Tilly Goddard, Steph
O’Brien and Ellie Rowley on target in their 11-0 victory over Charnock Ridgeway. While
that tie ended very firmly in favour of a Division One team at home to a Division Three
team, it was a much different story in the other tie between teams from two divisions apart.
Wakefield AFC Res enjoyed a two-goal interval lead through Nicole Moffatt and Holly
Lamb at home to Dearne & District who fought back to level with a brace by Emma
Fleetwood. However, their hopes of causing an upset were dashed in the last minute when
Megan Brackenbury scored from a free kick to see Wakefield progress. A hat-trick by
Rachel Norsworthy, along with singles from Lucy Chapman, Kirsty Cooke and Ebony Jade
saw West End Terriers advance thanks to a 6-2 win at Mind Over Matter whose
replies came from Kerry Longstone and Bobbie Tonks. AFC Bentley progressed via a
home walk over against Sheffield Utd Community Development.
       Somerset League
Burnham Utd extended their lead at the top of Division Two North to seven points as
they scored seven times without reply away to Hutton. Daisy Goldsmith led the scoring
with a hat-trick, Lucy Stacey weighed in with a brace and there was one apiece from Mollie
Harvey and Chelsea Organ. Danielle Halifax, Amy Jones and Chloe Williams were all on
target for third placed Berrow as they
battled out a 3-3 draw with Cheddar, who Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire
scored through a Gabrielle Coles double and
