Ashley Wells (Club Captain)
Wells joined Dorchester ahead of the 2020 season, having spent a decade with
rivals Weymouth. Tenacious and pacey, Wells can play anywhere across the back
four and central midfield.
MIDFIELDERS
Charlie Gunson
Recent signing from Wimborne Town. Formerly of AFC Totton and Blackfield &
Langley, playing under Glenn Howes at the latter.
Billy Lowes
Current longest serving member of the Magpies squad. Signed from Weymouth in
2017 and has now made over 150 appearances for the club.
Tom Purrington
Recently returned to The Magpies following a successful loan spell at the club in
the 2019/20 season. Came through the ranks at Plymouth Argyle before spending
the 2020/21 season in the National League with Bromley.
Tom Soares
Experienced midfielder with over 500 appearances in the EFL. Former England
Under 21 international who played in the Premier League with Crystal Palace and
Stoke City.
Billy Stedman
Recent signing, exciting attacking midfielder formerly of Coventry City. He made his
first team debut for the Sky Blues against Arsenal U21s in the EFL Trophy in 2018.
FORWARDS
Sam Bayston
Former Wimborne Town and Hamworthy United winger who joined The Magpies
ahead of the 2020/21 season. Equally capable of playing the lone centre forward
role as proven during pre-season.
Kieran Roberts
New signing from AFC Portchester. Has featured for a number of clubs including
Wimborne Town, Weymouth, Moneyfields and Blackfield and Langley.
Alfie Stanley
The former Portsmouth is a recent signing for The Magpies. The highly rated
youngster joins the club following trials at a number of Premier League and EFL
clubs and is seen as a great bit of business by the club.
