Good afternoon and a very warm welcome to everyone
for this Toolstation Western League Premier Division
game at home to Barnstaple Town, who are making their
first visit to Crown Fields for a few years. Our committee
would also like to welcome today’s match officials,
referee Will Payne and his 2 assistants, Adam Boubrahmi
       & Nick Beedell.
The lads are seeking to get back to winning ways after a
couple of disappointing narrow defeats in our last 2
games. Our trip to Cornwall last Saturday resulted in a
frustrating 3-2 defeat against Torpoint Athletic. After
equalising just before halftime through the impressive Will Sage, a harsh penalty
and poorly defended corner suddenly saw us 3-1 down on the hour. Despite a
valiant effort, we could only muster a goal from sub Sahr Nanoh before time ran
       out.

Off the pitch, don’t forget that we are offering sponsorship of our First Team players
to all our fans at a bargain price of just £35, for which you or your company’s
name/logo will feature on our website, in match programmes and on social media.
Anyone interested should contact me in person or by email to jules1233@live.com
. This is a valuable source of income for our club, which will be used to help
purchase some training kit for the First Team squad.

Keep an eye out this week for announcements about our half-price season ticket
deal, which will be available shortly!

Our Reserves are at home this Tuesday (19:45) against Clevedon United, and we
look forward to seeing you back here at Crown Fields either for that game or next
                          nd
week on Saturday 22 October at 3:00pm, when Hellenic Premier Division side
Corsham Town (our old rivals from our Western League Division One days) visit us
in the First Round Proper of the FA Vase.

Thank you again for your loyal support and for your continued encouragement of
our players, which really means a lot to everyone at the club.

       Jules French (Club Secretary)
