President’s
Thoughts
Tonight we welcome the players, officials and supporters of Tytherington Rocks to
‘The Lane’ as we get back to league action following the FA Vase last weekend.
I think it’s fair to say that we came back down to earth with a bump on Saturday
as we just couldn’t contain Chipping Sodbury’s forwards. Unfortunately we also
sustained a couple of injuries which may be long-term.
It’s at times like these that you realise the importance of a large squad, and it gives
players who may not have had many starts the opportunity to show what they can
do and make it difficult for the injured players to return. I know that we are all
pleased with the depth of our squad and will look forward to seeing it develop
further over the coming weeks.
Just a quick reminder to utilise the various antiseptic gel stations at the entrance
and in the bar area. Whilst infection figures look to be falling this pandemic is far
from over and we want to make sure everyone is safe.
Lets hope for a well contested contest this evening and whatever the score, let’s
all enjoy the game and remember to accept the Referee’s judgement whether we
agree or not, as with-out officials we could not play the game...
As we all say #Up the Phones
As always I look forward to having a drink (or two) with you all in the bar after
(Socially distanced, of course), and you can find me in the kitchen providing tea’s,
coffee’s, pasties and pies , come and look me up.
