Davison was on target for CB Hounslow Utd as they shared a 1-1 draw with Sporting Duet,
who replied through Lauren Willmott.
Sheffield & Hallamshire League (by Julian Barker)
AFC Bentley extended their unbeaten start to four games with a third successive win moving
them three points clear at the top of Division One. Jenny Knibbs, Jenna McGee and Elyse
Thornton were on the mark in a 3-2 success over bottom team Barnsley (Women)
Development who have yet to register a point. Promoted Kiveton Park recorded their first win
with Mikayla Harper, Sky Hughes and Millie Simms on the mark in a 3-0 victory away to another
promoted outfit in Socrates. Megan Brackenbury, Amelia Hunt, Nicole Moffatt and Charlotte
Thomas were the scorers for Wakefield AFC Res who won 4-2 at Rotherham Utd
Whitehill, Jessica Broadhurst and Anaia Willoughby on target for the hosts. It was all square at
Middlewood Rovers for whom Holly Foster and Abi Lee scored in the draw against
Brunsmeer Athletic, both of whose replies came from Cheryl Mawhood.
Penistone Church registered their first points in Division Two with Jess Barrow (2),
Georgia Tagg (2), Alice Norman and Jess Ross their scorers in a 6-2 win over Worsborough
Bridge Athletic for whom Sarah Vickers and Sam Whiteley replied. Mexborough Athletic
won 2-1 at home to Swallownest; ahead at half time through Lydia Rae, Mexborough saw their
lead quickly negated in the second half before Yasmin Bird netted the winner.
Leaders Staveley Miners Welfare made it three wins from three in Division Three,
proving far too strong for hosts Kiveton Park Res as Carly Rowlands, with a hat-trick, added to
by braces from Billie Gordon and Grace Newbold and a single from Phoebe Munday comprising
their octet of goals without reply. AFC Norton Woodseats also have a 100% record, Ebony
Deans and Poppy Webb on target to make it two wins from two with a 2-0 success at Dearne &
District. Natalie Slack (2), Kirsty Cooke, Ebony Jade and Rachel Nosworthy were on the mark
for West End Terriers who ran out 5-0 winners over Eckington Belles. There was the rarity
of a 0-0 draw when Wickersley Youth hosted Mind Over Matter, the draw providing both
teams with their first point of the season.
Somerset League
Bishop's Lydeard Res saw their unbeaten start to the season disappear as they crashed to an
8-0 defeat at the hands of Ilminster Town Res. Rhiannon Pyne led the scoring with a hat-trick,
Jodi Cornwall and Lesley Spearing weighed in with braces and Poppy Hookings was also on
target. Pen Mill halved the gap on them to three points by beating Paulton Rovers Res 8-2,
Leonie Hobbs bagging a hat-trick along with Charlotte Harmer (2), Rebecca Roberts (2) and
Megan Gratton. Banwell also claimed their third win, 5-3 against Woodspring Women
thanks to Nicki Robinson (2), Madlyn Templeman, Vicky Wilson and Gabrielle Massey.
Wellington and Wells City battled out a goalless draw and Bath City defeated Portishead
Town Res 5-0, Tamzin Dunne hitting a hat-trick along with Tara Taylor and Annie Hervey.
The top of the table clash in Division One North went the way of Burnham Utd, who won
2-1 at Highridge Utd and replace them as
leaders. Charlie Longhorn and Lucy Stacey Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire
scored the goals for Burnham, with Lacey
