League Review
A single goal from David Reynolds earned a narrow 1-0 victory for Malvern Town
against title rivals Corsham Town and remain at the helm of the Premier Division
by two points from unbeaten Cribbs. The Bristol outfit were 2-1 winners at
Tuffley Rovers thanks to early goals from Steve Murray and Josh Bennett.
Westfields took a fourth-minute lead at Mangotsfield United and extended
their advantage to three before half time. Jack Gittoes and Josh Hunt both netted
as the visitors to Cossham Street dominated proceedings. Jeff Barimah reduced the
arrears shortly after the break, but any thought of a fightback was extinguished by
further goals from Daniel Stoneman and Archie Muirhead to seal a handsome 5-1
win.
The two Hereford teams notched 3-2 home wins, Hereford Pegasus pipped
Wantage Town thanks to Matthew James, Carlos Moreira and an own goal.
Hereford Lads Club also won by the odd goal in five with the winner coming eight
minutes from time. William Loughman and Brandon Jennings kept the scores 2-2
but substitute Henry Dyde grabbed a late decider to break Thornbury Town
hearts.
Royal Wotton Bassett Town lost ground when they lost 3-2 at Brimscombe &
Thrupp despite a double from substitute Alan Griffin. Ollie Barnes, Sam Folkes and
Liam Harper gave the points to the home team.
Bevan Cross and Tyson Pollard netted a brace apiece and Ruben Marques the other
in Bradford Town’s emphatic 5-0 victory at Longlevens.
Zac Skinner scored the only goal of the game for Shrivenham to win at Fairford
Town, whilst Mario Mateus earned a share of the spoils for Chipping Sodbury
Town at Lydney Town for whom Steve Clark found the net.
Milton United remain at the top of the First Division following a comfortable 3-0
home win over Stonehouse Town. Harry Thomas 2 and Louis Joyce saw them
home.
They lead by two points from Pershore Town who also won 3-0 at home to Calne
Town thanks to goals from William Beech, Sam Clark and Petar Tonchev.
Abingdon United routed Cirencester Town Development 7-2. Kyle Downie
and Rhys King scored two each, Sam Elkins, Conor McGrath and Isiah Stallone
found the net.
Clanfield also had a good away success, beating Bourton Rovers 4-0 with
strikes from George Seacole 2, Josh Gibbens and Reuben Harry.
Goals from John Evans, Paul Holmes and Edward Major gave Cheltenham
Saracens a narrow 3-2 victory in their first visit to Southam United. Ryan Harris
and Melvinino Mauritson replied for the hosts.
Newent Town won by the same scoreline at Littleton. Josh Coakley, Elliot Dale
and Tyler Weir out-scored Sam Allchurch and Dave McQuaide for the home team.
