TUESDAY NIGHT ROUND-UP
All scheduled matches on Tuesday evening went ahead as scheduled.
Premier Division South
Division leaders Weston-super-Mare maintained their top spot despite
dropping two points at home to Beaconsfield Town. The hosts equalising
in the 85th minute through Marlon Jackson after they went ahead in the
63rd minute through Jordan Bastin, only for Nathan Minhas to score a brace
to put the visitors 2-1 up. Third placed Chesham United maintained their
position in the table but went down 2-1 at home to Merthyr Town.
Merthyr went into a 2-0 lead after 25 minutes with goals from Thomas
Handley and Owen Brain. The hosts drew a goal back in the 58th minute
through an own goal from Nicholas Rhodes.
Third placed Bracknell Town closed the gap on Chesham to a single point
with three games in hand after demolishing Salisbury 6-1 at home, Joseph
Grant scoring a hat-trick.
Bottom placed North Leigh secured a point at Metropolitan Police after
a 1-1 draw to narrow the gap to four points amongst the bottom four Clubs.
Plymouth Parkway moved up the table after defeating Gosport
Borough and in the final game in the division Harrow Borough and
Tiverton Town shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
Premier Division Central
Leiston consolidated their second place in the table following their 1-0 win,
courtesy of a 62nd minute strike from Adam Mills, over Coalville Town
who slipped down to fourth place as Nuneaton Borough leap frogged
them into third after their 1-0 home win over Basford United thanks to a
58th minute penalty from Ryan Beswick.
In the other match, Bromsgrove Sporting entertained Needham
Market and triumphed 2-0 with goals from Connor Tee in the first minute
and Thomas Taylor in the 11th. That result saw Bromsgrove move up to
12th, with Needham Market two places above the last relegation spot with
a point to spare.
