President’s

           Thoughts

Today we welcome the players, officials and spectators of AEK Boco for our
Toolstation Western League Division 1 match. We hope they enjoy their visit.

As Christmas is now behind us, I hope that everyone had a great break and that
you all enjoy a happy and healthy New Year.

Whilst writing it appears that Covid is raising it’s head again with a new variant
having been identified. As stated in previous programmes, please make use of the
hand sanitiser that can be found at our entrance and in the main club. Let’s stay
safe and try and finish this season!

I am delighted to advise that we now have a new Manager. William Osborne has
joined us and brings Marc Ford and Micky Tanner as his assistants. Will is well
known to us as an uncompromising defender and whilst this is his first foray into
management, both Mark and Micky are experienced ex professional footballers
whose knowledge will be invaluable as Will takes us into a new era. We wish them
a successful start to their management today

Lets hope for a well contested contest and whatever the score, let’s all enjoy the
game and remember to accept the Referee’s judgement whether we agree or not,
as with-out officials we could not play the game…
Come and visit me in the kitchen at half time for hot drinks and hot food and failing
that I hope to have a beer with you all at the end

As we all say #Up the Phones

       Steve Watkins (President)
