Welcome

Good afternoon and welcome to The Field.

We extend a special warm welcome to the players, management and
supporters of Warminster Town FC, for this Toolstation Western League
First Division fixture. We hope they enjoy their short stay with us and have
a safe journey home tonight. We also offer our thanks to our Match Officials
for today and hope they enjoy the game.

Unfortunately, with last weekend’s visit of Radstock having been postponed,
our last two outings have ended in defeats, leaving us hovering above the
relegation positions, but not in immediate danger. However, a couple more
wins would be very welcome just to ease some of the lingering doubts. A
3-1 defeat in our last home match against Hengrove Athletic was a setback
despite James Chenowewth’s goal, and the 4-1 defeat in our visit to
Portishead Town was again disappointing, particularly given the importance
       of the game.

Today we meet Warminster Town in the les Phillips Cup which is a welcome
distraction from the league programme and another tough game is
       anticipated.

We hope you will enjoy the game and look forward to seeing you all again.

       Mike Blessing
