Sunday saw plenty of action from start to finish in the Genero Adran Premier games, which saw
17 goals, produced by no less than fifteen different scorers.
There is no change at the top of the table, with Cardiff City Women the only team
maintaining their 100% record. Phoebie Poole picked up where she left off last week to open the
scoring, with Zoe Atkins doubling their lead and a stunner in the second half from Danielle
Broadhurst completing a 3-0 victory over Barry Town Utd at Jenner Park.
Cardiff Met Women travelled to Aberystwyth Town, aiming to keep hold of second
place. Emily Allen was on the scoresheet for the first time this season, scoring in the 20th minute,
before setting one up for Shannon Evans and captain Steph Tuner added a third at the end of the
half. Allen netted her second on the final whistle to round off a 4-0 victory for the Archers.
Swansea City matched Met’s scoreline to stay a step behind, with just one goal
continuing to separate the two sides in the table. Pontypridd Utd were the visitors at
Llandarcy, falling to goals from Jess Williams, Katy Hosford and Monet Legall as the Swans led
by three at half time. Ellie Lake, who provided assists for the opening two goals, turned scorer
early in the second half to make it 4-0 and wrap up the three points for the home side.
With Barry, Aberystwyth and Pontypridd failing to pick up points, fourth spot was in sight
for The New Saints and they grabbed it with both hands. In a first visit to Abergavenny
Women, the visitors were awarded a penalty in the seventeenth minute which was dispatched
by Beth Lewis, before Isobel Redding and Danielle Staley added two more for yet another 3-0 half
time scoreline. Abergavenny pulled one back through Ellis Lunn early in the second half, with a
dramatic end to the game seeing both TNS’ Caitlin Chapman and a second for Lunn, to see the
       game finish 4-2 to TNS.
