After a very good start to the season and the

most memorable day of all against Helston

Athletic in the FA Cup, today we go again in

the famous old cup with a difficult tie against

really good higher-level opposition. Let's

hope we can kick on and progress into the

first qualifying round.

On Tuesday I attended the funeral of our

Club President Malcolm Brown. I first met

Megs when I came to the club in 1978: a

lovely man who dedicated 60 years of his life

to Mousehole AFC. What an astonishing

achievement. He will be remembered at the

club forever. Fittingly perhaps, Megs is still

very close to us in the cemetery which is

visible from pitchside at the clubhouse.
