We visited Cheddar on Saturday with an ever increasing injury list Scadding &
Kington were added to it following Mondays game. Macca was back following
suspension.

The game started as rather tenta ve affair to begin with, with neither side really
ge ng a grip on it.

It was 26mins before we managed to get a decent effort Griffiths squared the ball
to Macca who pulled the effort wide. On 30 mins Dunn failed to get a header on
target from a Macca cross.

On 33mins we got the breakthrough great work by Macca who was able to slip in
Jones who finished well with his le foot.

11mins later it was 2 Macca again got at the defence his ball across the box was
par ally saved by the keeper, but it bounced up well for Griffiths who finished
from a yard out.

The second half started much as the the 1st was played with neither side ge ng
a foothold on it.
On 57mins Griffiths beat the keeper to the ball only to see his effort drop wide.

On 72mins we had an effort disallowed. Macca’s great strike from range was
adjudged to have took a deflec on of a Bris player in an offside posi on and didn’t
stand.

The home side were looking for an opening but could not find a finish to reduce
the scoreline.

On 85mins we made the game safe when Tobin found space in the box and
finished well into the roof of the net.

Not a great performance but we got the 3 points in the bag & scored goals at
crucial mes.
