League Review
Weston super Mare took over the leadership of the Premier Division
South after a convincing 4-0 victory at Yate Town on Tuesday evening.
Reuban Reid gave the Seagulls the lead after 20 minutes and Jacob Cane
doubled the advantage just before the interval. After half time further goals
from Sam Avery and Alfie Moulden sealed the three points for the new
leaders.
Nassim Kherbouche, Joshua Carmichael and Jerry Lawrence netted in the
first ten minutes for Salisbury to give them a winning lead at Hartley
Wintney. Kingsley Eshun reduced the arrears for the home side, but no
further scoring gave the points to the visitors.
Bottom of the table North Leigh were denied in stoppage time at
Winchester City for whom Charlie Philpott levelled for a 2-2 draw.
Simbarashe Mlambo put the home side ahead as early as the third minute,
but James Dobson soon equalized for the Oxfordshire side. Jordan Thomas
thought he had won the game for North Leigh when he gave them the lead
with just three minutes of normal time remaining before City struck at the
death.
On Monday evening, a brace from Herson Rodrigues-Alves earned
Metropolitan Police a 2-2 draw at Beaconsfield Town. Nathan Minhas
and Sam Granville were on target for the home team.
Liam Pimm scored all four goals for Tavistock as they ran out comfortable
4-1 winners at Paulton Rovers on Wednesday. The Devon outfit returns
to the top three in the First Division South that is led by Sholing who won
3-1 at Melksham Town on Tuesday. Here, again, all the scoring for the
visitors was done by one player – Dan Mason grabbed a hat trick to
outscore Ben Brooks for Melksham.
Second-placed Frome Town won 3-0 at Radstock Town in the Somerset
FA Premier Cup.
Larkhall Athletic were narrow 3-2 winners at home to Bishops Cleeve
thanks to Bradley Norris 2 and Harry Warwick. George Box and Isaac Pearce
replied for Cleeve who lost to Norris’s 88 -minute strike.

Lymington Town shared a 3-3 draw with Bashley to aid their struggle
against relegation. Ryan Batley gave Lymington and early lead that was
wiped out by Harvey Slade. Jamie Webber put the visitors ahead in the
second half, but Steve Walker equalized for the home team who thought
they had won when Karol Skocson restored their lead. However, Slade
popped up with his second goal with two minutes remaining to snatch a
point for the Hampshire side.
Goals from Joe Stradling and Harvey Flippance earned Westbury United
a 2-0 success at Evesham United.
Wimborne Town edged out Exmouth Town 2-1 thanks to Harry Morgan
and Harry Baker. Levi Landricombe pulled a goal back for Exmouth in
stoppage time.
