Manager’s Viewpoint

It’s all coming thick and fast.

We come into tonight’s fixture on the back or two gritty wins the past 7 days over
       Keynsham Town Res’s & Ilminster.
JP getting us the winning goals in the past two games in the 85th minute !

The squad is now showing its depth. With the influential Brad Caton suspended for
a harsh red card in our cup defeat to Ilminster a couple of Saturdays back we had
to reshuffle the pack at home to Ilminster in the league this past Saturday. Jackson
Brown coming in and doing superbly.

Saturday’s fixture wasn’t pleasing on the eye. And our usual fast, free-flowing
football was replaced with a more direct type game on a heavy pitch. But we got
       the win regardless.
Reminiscent of the infamous Ian Holloway shout - Along the lines of “pulling a
woman in a night club, it may not of been pretty but it was a result anyway” !!

This is the first time we have played Uphil this season.
They may only be a few places above the relegation zone. But they look safe.
Winning 4 & drawing 1 out of their last 10 games since the turn of the year.

These are the type of games that are often very open. Against a team that do score
a lot of goals. It will be an interesting fixture.

The ground works continue. And we have until the 31st March to have it ready for
the FA inspection. So busy on and off the pitch this week.

All the best to all involved in tonight’s fixture.

       Dickie
