A warm welcome to all of our supporters today and especially to the
players, management, directors and supporters from Poole Town who
have made the trip up from the South Coast this afternoon. We hope
you enjoy your visit, and trust everyone has a safe trip home this
evening. A special thank you as well to DHL Sports and Social Club
who are once again sponsoring today’s match.
This is our second consecutive Saturday home fixture and following
the draw for the FA Trophy we will once again be hosting football at
the South West Interiors next weekend when we welcome Bideford
Town. The following Tuesday we welcome Taunton before a Saturday
rest on 7 November with Yate and Harrow Borough the only two
                 th
Southern Premier clubs not in league action. For the players it will be
anything but a rest day as the Gaffer will no doubt have plans to use
       the time to good effect.

Back to today and our opponents Poole Town who are riding high in
the division currently sitting second in the table, unbeaten and with
four wins out of five and scoring two goals in every match except the
last one. They also held Chippenham Town to a 2-2 draw in the FA
Cup after normal time before being narrowly beaten 5-4 on penalties.
Last season we met early in mid-August at the Black Gold stadium.
The Dolphins struck early after 16 minutes with Joshua Leslie-Smith
scoring the opener, Harry Baker added a second just before half time
and Will Spetch, part of the squad today, added a third mid-way
through the second half to wrap the game up. The home match was
a much closer affair and it was again Will Spetch who put the visitors
in front on half time and that goal very nearly sealed the three points
had it not been for Sam Bell getting the equalizer in the 88 minute.
                                                                     th
Sam Fudge was the referee on that occasion and again officiates
today’s encounter, let’s hope he brings us similar good fortune.

       C’mon you Bluebells……….
