SHIREHAMPTON F.C. - PLAYER PROFILES
Ben Britton
Goalkeeper signed from Hengrove FC. Young lad with huge potential been a great
signing. Shot-stopping is second to none and strikes a great ball. Has a bright future
ahead of him.
Jordan Laraway
Full back signed from Welton Rovers who after a bright start has picked up a knee
injury. Steady calming full back who defends with little fuss, good on the ball and strong
defensively.
Luke Burman
Conehead is a strong left back who loves to get forward. Previously with Bradford and
Almondsbury and has been a superb signing. Good lad on and off the pitch and loves
a sulk
James Kenway
Strong quick defender who like conehead loves to sulk. Proper Drama Queen but his
performances on the pitch can never be questioned. Can play full back or centre half
and has been a real asset since signing from Longwell Green
Mitch Greenslade
Kenways Brother in law, always the longest in the shower. Big strong no nonsense
defender who turned down big money to join us for nothing, doesn’t like to remind us
of that tho. A great lad to have around the place and a real asset on the pitch.
Adam Thorne
The scallywag of the squad, quick young defender who can play anywhere across the
back four. Was once going to beat Kenway up for shouting at his dad during a game.
His dad is the nicest man in local football.
Rich Brightwell
Good footballer and reader of the game. Can play numerous positions with ease. Good
lad to have around the place and a proper clubman. Loves a dodgy ‘Gilet’
Charlie Pollinger
Young Charlie is a great lad with huge potential. Came in last year and played a lot of
football out of position, never moaned once just gets in with the job. Always trains,
always available just a dream to manage with little hassle. We’re all a bit concerned
with his receding hairline but he hides it well with a dodgy fringe at the moment.
Steve Fitzpatrick
Turns up does his job with minimal fuss and another top lad. Can’t understand a word
he says with his dodgy Scottish accent. Great experience at this level with Manor Farm,
Chipping Sodbury and Roman Glass. Never allowed out on a lads night out
Matt McCall
Great Lad with the club at heart. Fully committed box to box midfielder with an eye for
goal. Captained the team to the clubs first ever promotion to western league. Another
great lad to have around the place.
