Long Crendon FC was established 132 years ago in
1886. Nicknamed the Robins, the club is steeped in
history having played in all those years with a break
for the two world wars. Crendon were the first club
to win the inaugural Oving Cup, one of the oldest cup
competitions in England, in 1890. Over the course of
the club’s history we have played in several leagues
covering the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire area
and have been very successful as league champions several times in
the Oxfordshire Senior League and Aylesbury & District leagues along
with multiple cup wins. Around the turn of the century was a very
successful period for the club, as it won back to back Oxfordshire
Senior League titles. However, when that side broke up, the club was
in the doldrums for a number of years and was only saved from
extinction by the efforts of a small number of committee members.
The club moved across to the Aylesbury & District League and
revitalised its fortunes as it won successive promotions under new
       manager Gerald Reilly.

In 2017 the decision was taken to join the Hellenic League and the
club finished third in its first season in Division Two East after a
tremendous run in the second half of the campaign.
In the summer, Gerald Reilly “moved upstairs” with a view to
progressing the club off the pitch and his assistant and former
Chinnor manager Ryan Davis took over as first team manager. The
following season was potentially the most successful in Crendon
history, with the side winning a treble, consisting of Hellenic Division
2 East, the Oving Cup and the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup –
the first county cup in the club’s history. The league title was secured
on the final day of the season with a 4-0 win over Langley after a
       titanic battle all season.

2019 was Crendon’s first ever at Step 6 and saw us adapt well, being
in fifth position on a points per game basis when the season was
abandoned. We also made our first appearance in the FA Vase,
winning our debut tie (again, against Langley) before going out to
eventual quarter finalists Leighton Town. The 2020/21 season Saw
us make our debut in the FA Cup.
