The County Leagues...
Gloucestershire League
Longwell Green are six points ahead at the top of Division One following their 6-2 victory
away to Bishop's Cleeve on Sunday. In-form striker Kate Michael was on target four times and
she was joined on the scoresheet by Abbie Woodley-Marshall and Hayley Bullock, while Lauren
Cable and Leonie Gough netted for the home side. Olveston Utd now head the chasing team,
they won 1-0 at Abbeymead Rovers in the other game courtesy of an early strike from
Rosanna Blacker.
In Division Two, Tuffley Rovers still lead the way by three points from secon Bristol
Rovers Development, who replaced Dursley Town in second place after winning their
meeting 5-3. Tamsin Shipley (2), Sarah Harris, Zoe Jones and Gift Ihejieto scored the goals for
Rovers, with Dursley replying through Louise Pegler, Morgan Taylor and Lucy Jones.
Cirencester Town made it two wins on the trot when beating City of Gloucester 5-0 thanks
to a goal each from Jodie Bailey, Katie Bailey, Robyn Evans, Nikola Biskup and Anna
Toporkiewicz.
Bristol Ladies Union Development hold on to the leadership of Division Three
despite being beaten for the first time, 6-2 by Bradley Stoke Ladies. Chloe Brown (2), Hollie
Shone (2), Lauren Baker and Alex Thomson all scored to give Bradley a third straight win, whilst
Martha Haines and Erin Taylor netted for Union. Whitchurch & Bristol join Winchcombe
Town on nine points after winning their meeting 4-2, Faith Constable hitting a hat-trick and
Jessica Nicholls adding the other. The match between Kingswood Women and Mitcheldean
SC finished goalless, whilst Southmead Community Sport were 6-3 winners over Stoke
Lane Athletic. Downend Flyers Res scored thirteen times without reply away to
Tewkesbury Town, including hat-tricks from Lisa Ralph and Ellie Brockton, whilst Michaela
Adams (2), Victoria Corrigan (2), Mollie Bourne (2) and Kaja Jacobs accounted for the other
goals.
Greater London League
Edgware Town have moved into the top half of the Premier Division table after they won 5-3
away to Enfield Town 3rds in the only match to be played. Kalina Georgieva and Monique
Mitchell-Marshall each scored twice for Edgware along with Polina Avramova, Enfield's replies
coming from Abigail Asante-Appah, Jessica Simmons and Andrea Young.
Queen's Park Rangers Res scored seven times without reply against Luton Town
Res and moved into second place, one point behind Division One North leaders Brentford B.
Camden Town Blues meanwhile defeated New London Lionesses Development 5-1,
Lily-Rose Dyer bagging a hat-trick with further goals from Louise Clarke and Heather McIntosh.
East London Ladies also won 5-1 against Tower Hamlets to record their first success and
they are off the bottom as a result. Simone Folkes (2), Elena Bodnarescu, Katherine Gee and
Emily Hammond were the markswomen for East London, whilst Tower Hamlets' consolation
came from Alex Milne.
The Division One table is tighter than ever following Sunday matches and only three
points cover the top seven places. South East Parakeets are the new leaders following their
4-1 victory over Sporting Duet, Amy Doyle, Sarah Quinn, Kathleen Waterhouse and Natalie
Graham all scoring a goal apiece. They lead on goal difference from South London Laces who
beat Balham Panthers 3-0 thanks to Josie Alderman (2) and Emily Hill. Ashford Town
(Middlesex) B had started the day on top of the table but despite goals from Gemma Cottrell
and Hannah Quinton, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Richmond & Kew whose scorers were
Charlotte Close and Ellie Crabb.
Sheffield & Hallamshire League
Captain Gemma Harte netted all four for AFC Bentley who won 4-1 at Barnsley (Women)
Development in Division One. It extended Bentley’s unbeaten start to 4 games, all three
previous having ended in draws. Millie Hanley scored for Barnsley. Abbi Shepherd bagged a
