Boro fans have enjoyed cup runs over the last decade, most notably beating
local rivals Havant & Waterlooville to book a Wembley date in the FA Trophy
final in 2014, where they were beaten by Cambridge United. The following

year, they made the First Round Proper of the FA Cup for the first time,
playing out a nine-goal thriller with Colchester United – the Essex outfit won
that tie 6-3.

Following today’s cup tie, the Bluebells host Beaconsfield Town on
September 25 (3pm KO) before rounding out the month with a tricky test
