A 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur has kept Manchester Utd on
top of the table, going into Sunday’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final.
Leah Galton scored her tenth league goal of the season to give United
a first half lead and Alessia Russo made it two just three minutes later.
Nikita Parris rounded off the win after the break when she netted the third
goal.
Chelsea got back to league action and made up for lost time with two
emphatic wins, which take them to within a single point of United. On
Sunday, Pernille Harder netted twice along with Guro Reiten, Sam Kerr, Sophie Ingle, Jessie
Fleming and Erin Cuthbert as they defeated Everton 7-0 and in midweek, they scored another
six without reply past Leicester City, Harder bagging another double with Reiten, Cuthbert,
Lauren James and Jelena Cankovic also on the scoresheet.
Arsenal also picked up maximum points from two games to keep their title hopes alive.
Frida Maanum scored the only goal of the game as the Gunners won 1-0 against Leicester City
on Friday night and they followed this up in midweek by beating Brighton & Hove Albion
4-0, two early Stina Blackstenius goals putting them on their way before Maanum and Victoria
Pelova added the others.
