Genero Adran League

Phase two of the Genero Adran Premier got underway on Sunday but with only two matches
taking place, the other two having fallen victim to the weather.
The first match in the Championship Conference saw Cardiff City Women maje up
ground on the top two, with a 2-1 victory against Aberystwyth Town. Catherine Walsh gave
City the lead in the seventeenth minute and they made the points safe when Phoebie Poole
scored the second late on, despite substitute Libby Isaac pulling one back for Aberystwyth.
One game was also played in the Plate Conference, Barry Town Utd running out 6-1
winners away to Pontypridd Town. After Pontypridd had taken the lead through Robyn
Pinder, Manon Pearce equalised three minutes later and Grace O’Reilly scored a quickfire
double ahead of the half hour. Pearce then netted her second before MacKenzie Olden bagged
a brace to complete a remarkable first half. No more goals were added in the second half and
Barry were able to see the game out for a result which takes them to within two points of
       Pontypridd.
The only game which had been scheduled for the North Division was another victim of
the weather, with leaders Wrexham’s home game against Llanfair Utd postponed due to
       a waterlogged pitch.
Abergavenny Women have stretched their lead at the top of the South Division to
five points, thanks to a 6-2 victory away to Cardiff Bluebelles. Elllis Lunn did put the
Bluebelles in front after thirteen minutes
